Resource Mobilisation

We believe that every civilisation has a shared past, shared present and a shared future. Therefore, the responsibility to create a society based on equity, equality and justice must also be shared. This calls for the creation of a pool of human resources who mobilise and contribute financial and non-financial support for this to happen.

Sruti has been a pioneer in innovating fund raising activities

We introduced the collection of raddi or trash/ scrap in Delhi, as a way of generating funds. Over the years, the scrap collection unit has developed into a viable economic activity, despite being labour intensive and time consuming in its operations.

We've organised music concerts, plays, exhibitions and fairs where NGOs and other crafts people have showcased and sold their products, Export surplus is put on sale at SRUTI office at exhibitions, all this as part of our fund generation efforts.

We've reached out to and encouraged individuals and corporates to contribute money, labour, time or 'in-kind' resources that add economic and social value to SRUTI's work. Sruti's own administrative costs are met by institutional grants and other fund-raising efforts go directly to support the Fellows at the field level.

Contributions to Sruti qualify for 50% deduction under income-tax rules (Section 80G)

If you'd like to support us through your donations, do call us at +91-11-26564546 or email us at sruti@vsnl.com
