Learning process is one of the most critical issues in development of children and societies. Education devoid of love and respect towards the cultures and nature may lead to an exploitative relationship among individuals, communities and with environment. The value system based on harmony, coexistence, peace and democracy will be the final loss of such education processes. SRUTI feels that education is the most effective weapon of social change and empowerment of the marginalized.
We believe that investing into education is investing into the future. With this vision SRUTI is closely associated with a number of education initiatives. Some of the successful models are such as Adharshila Shikshan Kendra at Sakad, Madhya Pradesh, Manthan at Jhiri, Rajasthan and Sobran Smriti Shikshapeeth at Chandil, Jharkhand.
Other Education Initiatives
Other initiatives under formal education are also being taken care by the Fellows and their team in various parts of India .
This includes advocacy and networking for the existing appalling State Primary and Secondary education system. The Fellows are ensuring enrollment of children, checking the dropout, and ascertaining scholarship for girls and students from weaker section of the society.
