The Jharkhand School - Sobran Smriti Shikshapeeth, Chilgu village, Saraikela, Jharkhand (twenty kms from Jamshedpur ) is in its third year now. Hundred and twenty-five students (seventy boys and fifty-five girls) are coming to the school regularly. 80% of them are tribals - mostly from displaced families from the Chandil dam. Rest is Dalits and OBC's.

The school is assisting the tribal children in using modern equipments such as microscopes and telescope and computers etc. The school now has five classes from nursery to class fourth. There are three teachers in the school.
