About the role

SRUTI is working through its Fellowship Programme in 14 states of the country and we are looking to extend and expand our reach. We are looking for candidates for developing, implementing, and coordinating the Fellowship and Outreach programs.

*This position is based out of New Delhi.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Overall responsibility for developing, implementing and coordinating the Fellowship/Outreach/Fundraising programs in a given geographical region consisting of a group of states;

  • To regularly conduct field visits within and outside Delhi to assess and monitor the progress of the groups.

  • Keeping in touch with fellow organization for the assessment of their needs / inputs and regular updation of field activities to fulfill SRUTI’s reporting requirements;

  • Providing assistance to Fellows in mobilization of resources;

  • Developing SRUTI’s fundraising programmes and activities;

  • Developing and following up on new proposals for future partners;

  • Ensuring legal and statutory compliances in implementation of programmes;

  • Assistance in office programmes and activities;

  • Participate in periodic review meetings, particularly casework meetings, criminal justice system observation meetings and project review meetings as and when schedule;

  • Attend/conduct meetings and workshops, prepare reports, developing and dissemination of educational materials as decided by SRUTI;

  • Assist in the preparation of funding proposals, periodic reports and necessary documents to ensure compliance on project reporting;

What we are looking for

  • Candidates with 1 to 2 years of experience in relevant sector or with experience having engaged on issues of underprivileged communities in rural, urban and tribal areas.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree desirable.

  • Should have made significant contributions in his/her area of specialisation.

  • High level of self-motivation, initiative, creativity and eagerness to learn.

  • Willingness to travel extensively for work.

  • Good understanding of organisational and project management.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, and solve problems independently or collaboratively.

  • Computer skills, analytical and good documentation skills in Hindi and/or English are required.

  • Knowledge of English, Hindi writing and speaking. (We encourage candidates with the knowledge of regional languages to apply.)
