Zeba Wasi

Zeba is a committed and passionate social worker based in Patna, Bihar. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Patna University and has been actively engaged in the development sector for the past seven years.Her work primarily focuses on the rights and well-being of women, adolescents, and children, addressing critical issues such as gender discrimination, access to education, health, and safety. From the beginning of her career, Zeba has been deeply involved in grassroots initiatives, working closely with marginalized communities to empower them with capacity and resources. She has worked extensively on issues of gender-based violence, child protection, and Menstruation Hygiene.Through various community-based programs, she has facilitated awareness campaigns, capacity-building workshops, and advocacy efforts to ensure that vulnerable groups receive the support they deserve.

Zeba is particularly passionate about inclusivity and social justice. She has a keen interest in understanding and advocating for transgender rights. She believes in the importance of breaking stereotypes and fostering an inclusive society where every individual, regardless of gender identity, has equal rights and opportunities. She has actively engaged in discussions on the challenges faced by the transgender community, including social stigma, discrimination in employment, lack of access to healthcare, and legal rights.

Zeba has worked with various organizations, NGOs, and government bodies in Bihar. She has worked on initiatives that promote women’s economic empowerment, self-help groups, and leadership training. She has been actively engaged with organisations working on child labour issues. Additionally, she has contributed to projects that focus on adolescent education and skill development, ensuring that young girls receive the guidance and resources they need to build a better future.
